ReGrowth Kurri Kurri was the community program that tracked the demolition and remediation of the former Hydro Aluminium Kurri Kurri smelter site after aluminium production ended. The Hub has kept this archive of the project's own update videos as a local record of the work: the Community Reference Group meetings, and the demolition and remediation progress from 2015 through to 2020.
The short introduction video describes the various components of the project, including contamination and remediation, the rezoning of some land for residential and business or industrial use, and the conservation of around 1300 hectares.
