Alena Pople

Hunter Region Business Hub is led by General Manager Alena Pople, a respected regional leader with more than 20 years' experience across economic development, tourism, marketing and community engagement.

Alena brings a broad background in business support, relationship building and strategic growth, with experience that supports the Hub's focus on empowering and connecting small businesses across the Hunter Region. Her practical leadership style, governance experience and strong community focus provide a steady foundation as the organisation continues to grow and support the local business community.

Alena joined the Hub in March 2026, following senior roles with Cessnock City Council, Roche Group and Salter Brothers Hospitality.

Administrator Katherine supports the day-to-day running of the Hub, helping to create an organised, welcoming and responsive environment for tenants, members, visitors and stakeholders.

Katherine provides broad operational and administrative support across the organisation, contributing to smooth service delivery, effective communication and well-managed systems. Her role helps ensure the Hub remains a professional and supportive space where programs, events and everyday activities can operate successfully.

Aliyana

Administrator Aliyana provides friendly and practical support across the Hub's administration, client service and engagement activities.

Aliyana assists with daily office coordination, communications and event support, helping ensure members, clients and visitors receive a positive and professional experience. Her contribution helps keep the Hub running smoothly and supports the broader team in delivering services to the Hunter Region business community.
