About diVine tours

diVine tours, established in 2006, specialise in small group Hunter Valley wine tours.  Our long history has seen great relationships form with a variety of businesses in the Lower Hunter Valley and neighbouring regions.

Our Tours

The Gourmet Hunter Valley Wine Tour is ideal for couples and small groups.  With a maximum of 11 people on each tour, you are ensured a more personalised tour experience.  The itinerary includes wine tastings at 4/5 boutique wineries, winery tour, restaurant lunch with wine, cheese and chocolate tasting.  This tour will pick up from Pokolbin and surrounding areas, Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Morisset and the Central Coast.

The diVine Wine Tour is another small group tour with a maximum of 11 passengers.  This tour is run on select midweek days to enjoy the quieter and best time to visit the Hunter Valley wine region.  The itinerary is flexible with multiple lunch options and visits venues where you can choose between cheese, chocolate or olives instead of wine, beer or spirits.  The pick up and return locations are the same as our Gourmet Wine Tour.

The Private Tour lets you have input into the itinerary as well as exclusive use of the bus.  Simply tell us what you would like to do and we’ll organise an itinerary to suit.  Our mini buses seat up to 11, 13 or 20 passengers.  The perfect tour for your end of year work party, birthday, hens day and other social occasion.  This tour will pick up from the same locations as above, as well as Newcastle and surrounds.

Newcastle Heritage And Ghost Tours

Mischief, malice, mayhem, murder …The dark history of Newcastle still haunts every corner, alley way and historic building of the second oldest township in NSW Australia. You can almost hear the clank and groan of convicts working in leg irons  in the underground mine shafts in the settlement.

The poor rations and daily floggings – hopelessness in a “hell on earth”.

You had to be tough to survive…

Do you dare to be touched by the ghosts that still haunt Newcastle?

HISTORY, HERITAGE and GHOSTS. If you are curious about the story of early Newcastle  we will show you the sites where it all happened and you just never know which old soul might turn up while we are walking around.

All Australian Journeys

When we started operating tours in the Northern Highlands of NSW, it was to promote tourism while our small town Walcha (population 1,600) was in the grip of drought. Since 1988 we have undergone many changes, including our move to Maitland in 2000. We have a fully licensed retail travel agency, cafe, conference centre and more! We are proud of our humble beginnings in Walcha and we are proud of what we have achieved in the last 25 years, and the new directions we have opened up for our company, our staff and our clients.

We want our name to reflect the entire range of our operations: covering destinations and events all over Australia on all kinds of journeys, from air and coach, to rail and cruise, even bushwalking! All Australian, all journeys – giving you once in a lifetime experiences, every time! That’s who we are.

Beyond Ballooning

Hot Air Balloon Adventure in Hunter Valley

Thrill-seekers such as you and your friends should not settle for ordinary adventures. Add a little twist to your trip by incorporating elements of fascinating sceneries, the laughter of your friends and a big hot air balloon.

Nothing spells ‘adventure’ better than a hot air balloon ride in Hunter Valley by Beyond Ballooning. A trip up in the air offers a one-of-a-kind experience with your friends and loved ones.

Why Go on a Hot Air Balloon Ride

A hot air balloon ride is one experience you and your loved ones should not miss. Beyond Ballooning offers a unique opportunity to celebrate special occasions or simply hang out with your friends.

There is something magical about experiencing the sunrise through hot air balloon rides in Hunter Valley. Apart from the thrill of being in the air, you are also rewarded with beautiful scenery of greenery mixed with touches of the sun. Just hop aboard our sturdy balloons and appreciate the beautiful vineyards of the valley.

Our smallest balloons carry 2 passengers while our largest can accommodate 16 people, including the pilot. The flight generally lasts an hour, which gives you more opportunities to revel in nature’s beauty, as well as snap a couple of photos.

What to Expect on Your First Flight

Your first hot air balloon ride offers the unrivalled feeling of freedom and exhilaration—memories definitely for the books.
First and foremost, you and your companions must be early on site. For morning travels, our team meets you earlier due to the milder weather. You might not feel surefooted for a while, but the reward of a beautiful sunrise from up in the air is something you should not miss.

Before your Hunter Valley balloon ride, your pilot will tell you all that you need to know. The pilot will also go through the safety rules, what you can expect before, during and after the trip, which often lasts an hour.

One of the best things to witness is the balloon inflating. Once you arrive at your departure point, you will see the crew preparing the balloons for inflation. After the pilots engage the burners for heated air, the process usually takes 30 minutes before the balloons completely fill and rise above the basket. The process alone is enough to entertain you and your friends.

Safety and Hot Air Balloons

Here at Beyond Ballooning, your safety is our first priority. We strive to keep all of our passengers safe during the entire trip. Our team of professional balloon pilots only manoeuvre state-of-the-art hot air balloons made with sturdy materials.

In terms of weather conditions, we will not fly any balloons if the weather is less than agreeable. Our team continually checks the day’s weather patterns through the Bureau of Meteorology. When the weather is unsuitable for a trip, we will postpone. For us, your safety matters more.

Experience Hunter Valley in the best way possible. For hot air balloon gifts or rides, go with Beyond Ballooning. Book your flight with us by calling us at 1300 468 247 now.
